We had a lovely time at the Westin Rusutsu, enjoying the beautiful views and spacious loft rooms. However, the extra charges for accommodating my kids' Murphy beds, the somewhat inconvenient access to the onsen, and the inconsistent housekeeping were notable drawbacks. Overall, the resort is family-friendly and well-suited for skiing, but some improvements are needed in service and amenities.

Rooms
7.0
The loft rooms are spacious with a great view, but the design has some quirks, like shorter ceilings and steep steps.
Service
6.0
Staff were helpful, but the housekeeping was inconsistent and required reminders for cleaning.
Location
7.0
The location provides great access to ski slopes, but options for groceries and other facilities nearby are quite limited.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were decent, but there was a lack of quick fruit access, which was disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included a nice onsen and a fun monorail, but the ski lockers needed to be larger.

7.4/10

Our stay was quite enjoyable, especially given the spacious and comfortable room we had, although improvements could be made regarding the dining options and service responsiveness. The location afforded us stunning views, but we did experience some inconveniences with the logistics of the onsen and housekeeping. Overall, it felt like a great spot for family skiing despite a few hiccups.

Rooms
9.0
The bi-level room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, allowing ample room for our family. The layout with two Murphy beds in the living area and two full beds in the loft was perfect, but the lack of an ensuite bathroom on the upper floor was a slight hassle.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly, but there were moments when we felt forgotten, particularly regarding housekeeping. They were quick to assist when needed, like driving my passport to the airport, which was incredibly helpful.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was quite scenic and peaceful, although a bit remote, requiring us to travel further for amenities and activities. It was a short drive to the nearby ski areas, making it convenient for our winter activities.
Dining
6.0
We found the breakfast options a little underwhelming; variety was lacking compared to what we expected given the hotel’s prestige. However, dinner required reservations, and we learned that the earlier we did this, the more choices we had.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities, particularly the onsen and ski storage, were decent, but I would have preferred a more luxurious experience overall. Accessing the onsen was a bit odd, requiring us to walk through the lobby, which disrupted the relaxing vibe.

My stay at the Westin Rusutsu was fantastic overall! The duplex room layout was great for family gatherings and created some wonderful memories. The service from Maeda-san was exceptional, with thoughtful touches like welcoming chocolates. However, I wish they had more amenities in the room and clearer ski rental instructions. The slopes were perfect for families but be ready for some minor inconveniences with transport.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, featuring a Super King bed on the upper level along with a cozy living area, bar, and various amenities. However, it would have been great if they included a microwave and better coffee-making options.
Service
9.0
The service was outstanding! Maeda-san was especially helpful and attentive, ensuring all our needs were met during our stay and even arranging some fruits I wanted.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was convenient but accessing the ski collections at the monorail was a bit of a hassle. It’s to the convention side, but overall, it allowed for easy transport to numerous activities in the area.
Dining
8.0
Dining options were plentiful, with a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, but it could get crowded, especially during peak hours.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities were decent, with a good range of activities available, although the rental system could use some upgrades.

Our stay at Westin Rusutsu was delightful, with spacious rooms that offered stunning views and a relaxing ambiance. While the buffet breakfast was extensive, I found the dining options a bit limited overall, especially considering the dining outlets within the hotel. The location was picturesque but slightly inconvenient regarding access to more diverse food options. The service was efficient and attentive, which greatly enhanced our experience.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, featuring a duplex layout that allows for a wonderful flow of natural light. We loved our room's spectacular views from the 21st floor.
Service
8.0
The service was professional and engaging, with a polite staff responsive to our needs and requests.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, although it's a bit isolated and requires using the monorail for access to more dining options.
Dining
7.0
We enjoyed the buffet at the Atrium; it was quite nice with a good spread, but dining options felt limited, prompting us to venture outside the hotel frequently.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities were well-maintained, including a cozy spa that offered both indoor and outdoor relaxation areas.

The Westin Rusutsu offers an idyllic escape from the busier crowds of Niseko, making it a fantastic choice for those seeking a serene skiing experience. The rooms are spacious and provide stunning views, while the on-site onsen adds a luxurious touch to the stay. However, dining options outside the hotel are limited, which could become repetitive over a longer stay. Overall, it's a comfortable and convenient base for winter activities.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms are spacious, unique duplex designs with great views of Mt Isola and the gondola. They are clean and very comfortable, though the layout with the bathroom on a different floor could be inconvenient for some.
Service
10.0
Service at the Westin Rusutsu is exceptional. The staff is well-trained, polite, and genuinely helpful, going out of their way to assist with requests, such as arranging transportation and restaurant bookings.
Location
8.0
The location is beautiful and tranquil, providing a peaceful setting away from busier ski resorts. It’s accessible from Sapporo airport, though it requires some travel time.
Dining
6.0
Dining options at the hotel are decent but could benefit from more variety, especially for longer stays. The food was average in quality but offered a range of cuisines.
Facilities
9.0
Amenities such as the onsen and ski equipment rental right in the hotel enhance the convenience of the stay. The onsen is clean and well-maintained, though the private outdoor area lacks a scenic view.
